FAQ

Is there electrical service available and if so what is the charge?

Yes, Docks A-D all have power stations that offer 125 v with 30 and 50 amp outlets. The  charge is .10 per kWh  and all slips with or without shore power are subject

to an additional $10  Electric base fee. Find out more about the EBF  below.

What is a monthly Electric base fee for?

The EBF  on each statement is a electric base fee

for operational costs such as gates, security lights,

security cameras, bathrooms and shower facilities.

Is water available to my slip?

Yes there are Faucets available and no charge for water. You must provide your own hose and we ask that you keep it on your boat and out of the of the main walkway. Please be kind to the environment as well and keep your water usage to a minimum.

Are dogs allowed on the dock?

Yes but they must be on leash  and in your control. The 2 designated areas are by the bathrooms and by the willow tree in the parking lot. Please clean up after your pet.

How do I pay my bill?

You can choose email or postal and a monthly statement will be sent to you on the first of each month. Currently we are only accepting Checks, Cash and Money orders. If you are paying by cash we recommend that you do not send it by mail.

You can make cash payments at the marina to our onsite personnel or by

sealed envelope through the office drop slot to the left of the sliding glass door.

What if I am late paying my bill?

A $35.00 late fee will be assessed for all payments received after the 15th of the month. This fee will be added to the monthly bill and the same goes for NSF fees on

any returned checks. If charges accrued are not paid within 30 days the marina has

contractual right to seize your boat until total amount owed is paid in full. At such time the tenant will be considered in breach of moorage agreement.  Non-receipt of billing statements does not relieve Licensee of any obligations to pay moorage fees. Non payment after 2  full billing cycles  gives the marina the right to post 30 day notice and then auction or outright sell the boat to recover outstanding moorage

fees, late charges and  interest rates owed by tenant. Interest will be  calculated at current Washington state rates. Tenant has until date of sale or auction to pay total

amount owed on that date. At such time Marina will cancel the moorage agreement and require that boat is removed from the premises upon final settling of account.

Can I keep a dinghy in my slip?

Normally we request that you store your dinghy on board but for $40.00 a month tenants can keep their dinghy in the slip. It should not encroach upon neighbors or impede nearby boating traffic. In addition there is a dinghy dock by the ramp.

Non-tenants can rent  a dinghy spot  for $100 a month.

Are Children allowed on the docks?

Yes but all youth under the age of 12 must be wearing a Personal Flotation Device

(PFD) and be under the supervision of a responsible adult at all times.

Can I work on my boat in the Marina?

Repairs and boat maintenance may be made while a boat is in its assigned berth and

within the confines of the boat itself. No spray painting or sandblasting is permitted. We require that you use a boat yard for more extensive work.

Is insurance on my boat required?

Yes proof of insurance has to be submitted within 30 days of signing your

moorage agreement. We are required by the Department of Natural Resources to have this information on file for all of our tenants. The minimum coverage required is $300,000 and Quartermaster marina must be listed as additional insured.

Quoted directly from DNR site  https://www.dnr.wa.gov

"A requirement is established for all marinas, both public and private, to obtain

and maintain insurance coverage for their facilities and to require all vessels moored  at their facility to display proof  of insurance as a condition  of moorage.

Unless the  DNR determines otherwise in rule, the policies  covering

the vessels and the marinas    must offer at least $300,000 in coverage encompassing general,  legal, and pollution liability protection."
